Terry Ohm started his lighting design business in 1988. Some of his first clients consisted of the Sound Factory, the Hotel Triton, the Huey Lewis residence in Montana and Hastings Law School. Over the years, Ohm Lighting has developed the diversification and the skill to approach design projects from many creative disciplines including; architectural, theatrical, custom design, custom fabrication and landscape lighting.

In 1990 Terry and business partner Clinton Gilbert formed Impact Lighting and Production. Impact Lighting provided equipment and design services to the theatrical lighting and production industry. During this period Terry had the opportunity to design lighting for clients such as Mazda, Apple Computer, Armani, Jil Sander, the San Francisco Symphony, Ballet and Opera as well as the Museum of Modern Art.

In November of 2002, Ohm Lighting relocated to a new studio space at 400 Beale Street in San Francisco, near the Embarcadero. The studio is set up to handle both AutoCAD and Vector Works architectural drawing programs, has high speed internet connections, large format plotting with full color and black line.

Terry has designed lighting for many residential projects between Napa & Carmel. He has also designed lighting for commercial spaces ranging from restaurants to cathedrals.
